Destinos
Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, also known simply as Destinos, is an educational television program. Destinos uses the telenovela (Spanish soap opera) format to teach Spanish-language communication and comprehension skills. Early episodes have English-language narration in addition to the Spanish-language dialogue, but the English language content decreases continually, eventually disappearing entirely. The viewer is introduced to various accents and dialects and the cultures of various Spanish-speaking countries.
Destinos – by Annenberg Media – is an entire language program built around a telenovela from the early 1990s. The soap opera has 52 30-minute episodes that help you build vocabulary and train your ear to understand spoken Spanish. And you can watch all of them online for free!
Don Fernando reveals his deepest, darkest secret to his family: he was married once before and he may have another child. The family hires Raquel Rodriguez, a Spanish-speaking lawyer from California, to find him/her before the ailing Don Fernando dies.
